This girl has quickly come one of my favorite photographers. She has a knack for making everything look utterly effortless. I have watched Amanda Marie Portraits bloom over the years, and I couldn’t be more proud to feature her work! Lauren’s bridal portraits are all things her. From the funky headband, to the Carrie Bradshaw-eque flower, to those fabulous glittery gold heels, Lauren has let her spunk shine through! You can tell this is a Fort Worth girl from the great photos at the Water Gardens. Who hasn’t spent a day just in awe of that place?! Enjoy Lauren..

A great way to make your reception unique is through table cards. These are a small detail that don’t have to perfectly match your reception, but instead you can make them unique to your life. I love the idea of using maps of your favorite places to travel together! If you and your honey love the beach, then carved rocks and little umbrellas in sand could be perfect for you! If he proposed in Paris, how about macaroons?

If you met him in the laundromat, pick up some fresh lavender to match the scent of your favorite detergent. The smell always reminds you of him! Can you imagine anything more adorable than silverware and old keys for the antique loving couple. And for that extra healthy couple, that might have found their hands in a pile of fruit at the grocery store- juicy green apples could be too cute.

Officially my favorite winter wedding. This Newport Beach beauty hit it right on the spot with a bridal-esque fur wrap in the lightest color, and a dark fur capelet for her bridesmaids. The long light blue gowns are elegant and seasonally appropriate. I love the simple bouquets, wrapped in silver fabric. A touch of class but not over the top, this wedding was photographed by Snap! Photography and featured on Style Me Pretty. Everything about this wedding is simply beautiful, from the black and white invitations, to the all-white reception. Don’t miss the bride’s reception addition- a great sparkly belt!

The beauty in this destination wedding is how personal it feels. Instead of being thousands of miles away, everyone looks like they are celebrating in the couple’s {beachy} back yard. With a dapper groom in a white jacket, and a bride that oozes of old hollywood glamour, this wedding is classy, and comfortable. Can it get any better than that? There might be sand underneath your toes, but that doesn’t mean you should lose the glitz and glam of a wedding. The bride wore Christian Louboutin’s down the aisle and accessorized with a jeweled headpiece. Their wedding was held at the Round Hill Resort in Jamaica, and photographed by Raquel Reis.

One of the best parts of this bridal portrait session is the beauty in the natural light. It is not harsh or glaring, and it highlights the brides best features. Many photographers know that the best light is right after sunrise, or the twilight hour right before sunset. Since many of use don’t want to be up at 6 am, make sure to schedule your photography session for a late afternoon. This is when you will get those natural sunspots and rays of light in your photo. No photoshop necessary! wisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portraitwisner_photo_bridal_portrait

I feel like this couple is telling eachother a secret in these photographs. With every click of Kari Crowe’s camera, they are whispering sweet nothings and stealing glances. They are so in love, it almost hurts.

From mint juleps, to mint nail polish, to a mint cake- you can cast everything in the sweetest minty-green light at your wedding! It is fresh, sweet and subtle. Using this color in everything will be calming and classic. The underwhelming vibe is an excellent way to tie together your jewelry, and your cake stands. Go crazy with mint this spring!

While I am a huge fans of a super-sparkly diamond, there is something giddy and romantic about a pastel hued engagement ring. Right now, I am loving light pink and light blue. Whether those be pink sapphires, aquamarines, or colored diamonds, I think they can be beautiful in a delicate ring. Used lightly, these stones will not overpower your ring. All images come from pinterest!
